Portland VA Medical Center - PVAMC I am an RN-BC. That BC stands for my specialty board certification from the ANCC. I achieved my RN-BC specialty certification in 2007. I am currently working as a Dialysis nurse at the local VA hospital. Our dialysis unit performs dialysis treatment for 40 regular patients and also takes care of visiting med-surg patients. We are also responsible for all ICU patients in need of long term or short term dialysis treatment. Our hospital has a vibrant transplant program, and our dialysis unit performs dialysis on the visiting transplant patients in need of dialysis. I love my job and I love my co-workers and I love working with vets! Oh! Did I mention we are a magnet hospital?!

Walla Walla University I achieved my R.N BSN at Walla Walla University, in 2003. I graduated from College of the Redwoods with my LPN and A.A with Highest Honors in 1992 I have completed course work for Psychology B.S. up to my senior year at Sonoma State University.
